Blacklist Shipping companies/ Recruitment & Placement of Seafarers License (RPSL) and ships

BLACKLIST


The blacklist contains the details of Shipping companies/ Recruitment & Placement of Seafarers License (RPSL) and ships who have violated the provisions of Merchant Shipping Act, 1958 , Merchant shipping. (Maritime Labour) Rules 2016 & Merchant shipping(R & P SL) Rules,2016 thereon, with regard to non-settlement of seafarers wages, taking remuneration for employment of seafarers,abandonment by owners, etc. .

The list is published in order to prevent Indian seafarers from being employed on such ships/by such defaulting shipping companies.

These shipping companies/RPSL/ships have also been blocked in the DGS e-Sovernance database.

General intact stability criteria for all ships: The Code for Intact Stability was adopted on 4 November 1993 under  IMO Resolution A.749(18) . This Intact Stability Code was provided to seafarers to give recommendations related to Intact Stability criteria and other measures for ensuring the safe operations of the ship to minimize risk to ships, the personnel, and the environment. Recommendations mentioned in this code can be found in various codes of IMO, such as the MODU Code or DSC Code.
